Memory Palace is 1 room in the multi-room opera Generation Ship, directed by Caitlin Baucom at Mana Contemporary.

Lights: Nitemind | Photography: Walter Wlodarczyk

Performers: Monica Mirabile, Dana Pajarillaga, Josh Dunn, Billy Fortini, & Luke Shirock.

Memory Palace is a collection of three future memories, that are activated, paused, and reset by the attendants. They circle around the 2-5 minutes before a nuclear strike that has happened - will happen - is happening in the not-so-distant future of Generation Ship.

"Remembering is an ethical act, has ethical value in and of itself. Memory is, achingly, the only relation we can have with the dead ... [images] of the suffering and martyrdom of a people are more than reminders of death, of failure, of victimization. They invoke the miracle of survival."-Susan Sontag
